No vehicle inspections are conducted without our expertise
Intelligent safety systems in vehicles, such as ESP, cruise control, automatic emergency braking and lane keeping assist, support drivers and thus prevent accidents or minimise their consequences. The regular and independent inspection of these systems as part of periodic technical inspections (PTIs) ensures the safe and clean operation of vehicles currently on the road throughout their entire lifespan.
The required test specifications and testing technologies for this are developed by us in Dresden and Radeberg and used throughout Germany by around 18,000 PTI inspectors to perform these vehicle inspections efficiently and effectively.

Vehicle technology has been developing at an astounding pace in recent years. More and more vehicles are equipped with electronically controlled safety systems. And electric and hybrid vehicles are becoming increasingly popular. To keep up with these developments, the complexity of periodic vehicle inspections has also had to increase. Periodic technical inspections (PTIs) as regular on-site inspections ensure safety, environmental compatibility and regulatory compliance for increasingly digitalised and automated transport – today and in the future.
